What is an organic waste disposer?

– An organic waste disposer is a modern piece of kitchen equipment, which for its ease of use and durability, can be found in more than 50 million homes worldwide.

– It is installed under the kitchen sink and directed to the sewer network.

– Food remains go directly from the pad to the crusher which along with a stream of cold water grinds the food scraps into fine particles which are disposed of through the sewer.

What does TRITURY do?

– With it, all the leftovers from a meal and its preparation are eliminated very simply, quickly and quietly, in liquid form, directly to the sewer system.

– Turning into nothing what would be trash, solving problems of clogged sinks, bad smell, and unpleasant tasks

Is TRITURY safe to use?

– Yes. The food grinder is one of the safest domestic appliances.

– There is a common misunderstanding that the TRITURY disposer of organic waste has blades or knives that cut food. In reality, there are only two fixed gears, with carefully studied contours that ensure the speedy and lasting riddance of food remains. This action of grinding reduces the food residue to fine particles of the size of a match head. These particles are thrown in the sewer.

What can be ground by the TRITURY disposer?
What can be ground:
– Seeds of peaches and apples, orange peels;
– Egg shells and nuts;
– Vegetable Waste;
– Beef and skin;
– Remains of fish and their spines;
– Rice and pasta.

What should not be ground:
– Celery and other fibrous materials;
– Mollusc shells and similar hard shells;
– Harmful chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents;
– Paper, plastic, metal, glass or ceramic.

Is it possible to install TRITURY in small kitchens?

– Organic waste grinders can be easily adapted to any type of sink, leaving room for cleaning products or other products.

– The organic waste disposers do not have surface or unnecessary elements of design that occupy valuable space of storage under the sink.

Can TRITURY can be used in homes with septic tank?

– Yes. Actually, septic systems require a certain amount of food-derived substances to accelerate the various biological reactions. A normal septic tank with 2,800 litres is perfectly adequate.

Are the grinders noisy?

– Most people are surprised to find that the organic waste grinders are relatively quiet.

– The models contain extra sound-proofing materials to further reduce the noise level.

How much water and electricity does the TRITURY use?

– The quick grinding action of the organic waste grinder keeps water use to an absolute minimum. There is usually an increase of just 0.04% in water consumption.

– The average power consumption of a 0.33 HP organic waste disposer in a month is equal to the energy consumption of a 100 watt bulb in 1 hour! (3.7 watts/hour).

– Recent studies indicate that the disposer works an average of just 60 seconds a day.

Are organic waste disposers durable?

– Each model is fully guaranteed for 3 years, but it is very rare that your organic waste disposer needs assistance during the warranty period (only 1 in every 2,500).

– It is normal to have organic waste disposers that function perfectly even after 25 years of use.

What happens if something falls inside the disposer?

– If something that should not be ground falls into the disposer, disconnect it immediately.

– Make sure that the grinder is switched off and put your inside to remove the object. This is perfectly safe because there are no blades inside the grinder to cut or scratch your hand.

– Home utensils like tongs can be used to remove the object.

What do you do if the device locks and stop working?

– Probably something that should not be ground fell into the disposer.

– Unplug it and use the wrench that comes with all our crushers (TRITURY exclusive).

– Place the unlocking key in the valve of the sink and turn to unlock the shredder.

– Remove the object and then press the red button located at the top of the panel. This switch is a safety device which prevents the shredder motor from damage in the event of locking.

If the TRITURY locks, can I use the sink normally?

– Yes, you can. In the rare case in which your organic waste disposer has a problem, the water will still pass through, allowing you to continue to use the sink.

– The grinder jams are unusual and easily remedied.

– For those rare occasions where an organic waste disposer is blocked, there is a simple key that allows you to release the obstruction with one easy motion.

What maintenance does TRITURY need?

– Each model is fully guaranteed for three years, but it’s very rare that your organic waste disposer will need assistance during the warranty period.

– If problems arise, please do not hesitate to contact an authorised dealer.

Does the motor power influence the operation?

– Contrary to what most people think, the power of the motor is not directly related to a better grind.

– Despite having extremely powerful motors for the accomplishment of the work of grinding food remains, the models manufactured by TRITURY have a ring and cutting blade in special stainless steel, responsible for greater efficiency in the grinding process.

Can I crush bones?

Yes. The disposer can crush any type of food. May only not be ground very fibrous waste such as corn husks, artichokes, cabbage stalks, strings, ropes, etc.

Can the weight of the grinder drop my sink?

No. There are very rare cases where the sink is released because of the weight of the disposer. In fact, the weight of the unit is relatively small compared to a sink full of dishes or pans.
